You know, I would like to say a few words of my own. Everything that I have done in life has always come out of someone else's mouth. No one knows what I have done to get to this level in my career., or what I have been through while getting there. Everybody has dreams, I'm just following mine! There has to be a fuel for my fire, and desire to do what I do every weekend.
My first hero, is my oldest brother Rick, retired out of the service as a Special Forces Green Beret, who gave me a start and told me to do it for my country and give it a 100%!
My second hero, would have to be Helen Campbell of South Carolina. This special lady is a 'true' friend! Since 1996, she has made every outfit and costume that I wear, and also every matching outfit for the monkeys in the show. She has never charged me a penny for this, and says, that all she wants is our friendship (SHE HAS GOT IT)!
My third hero, would be Janet Wilder. Janet was diagnosed with breast cancer and WON! When you see a young mother walking with other females in a crowd with no hair, and to see her keep on smiling and raising her family, has been a true inspiration to me. She has always treated me with nothing but kindness and warmth, straight from her heart. You can read Janets letter by clicking ...here. She is the reason I support 'TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK', whenever and wherever I can!
My fourth hero, is my greatest! A little two year old girl, named Lakelynn, who has changed my life completely. I only get to see her 5 or 6 times a year, and that is what I call tough. She is my greatest life challenge. You only have a short time to be here, so treasure it with all you have. Be kind to everyone, is what her mother and I always try to teach her. It is up to everyone to do their part, and make this world a better place to live. The late, Winston Akers, once told me words to live by, he said: "Where you find success, you find sacrifice. It wasn't the fruit in the tree, it was the pair on the ground."
So, I have a lot of fuel to help keep my head up and going forward. Obstacles are what you see.....when you take your eyes off your goals..! I have never gone anywhere across this country, and told anyone that I did this all by myself....I always say 'WE'! God has helped me more to pick my head up and be strong. Because someday there will only be one judge, and he will be right!
